Claude Douglas Bilyeu

Claude Douglas Bilyeu, age 62, of Portland, passed away at his residence on March 5, 2026. He was born in Putnam County, Tennessee on September 19, 1963 to Claude Harmon Bilyeu and Helen Juanita Matthews-Bilyeu.

In addition to his parents, Claude was preceded in death by his brother, Ray Edward Bilyeu, and his sister, Judith Ann Bilyeu.

He is survived by his son, Lucas Bilyeu of Lakeland, Florida; granddaughter Kaitlyn (CJ) Dickerson of Portland; grandson Gavin (Kaylie) Bilyeu of Portland; granddaughter Mashalya Bilyeu of Lakeland, Florida; great-grandchildren Emma Kate Dickerson and Eli Dickerson; sisters Sharon (Melvin) Cantrell of Portland and Rose (George) Nunley of McMinnville, Tennessee; daughter-in-law Jeannie (Jason) Chaffin of Portland; and several nieces and nephews.

Claude will be remembered fondly by all who knew him as a devoted father, grandfather, and brother whose love for his family remained steadfast throughout his life.
