Claude Douglas Bilyeu

Claude Douglas Bilyeu, age 62, of Portland, passed away at his residence on March 5, 2026. Born in Putnam County, Tennessee on September 19, 1963, he was the son of the late Claude Harmon Bilyeu and the late Helen Juanita Matthews-Bilyeu.

In addition to his parents, Claude was preceded in death by his brother, Ray Edward Bilyeu, and his sister, Judith Ann Bilyeu. He is survived by his son, Lucas Bilyeu of Lakeland, Florida; his granddaughter, Kaitlyn (CJ) Dickerson of Portland; his grandson, Gavin (Kaylie) Bilyeu of Portland; his granddaughter, Mashalya Bilyeu of Lakeland, Florida; his great-grandchildren, Emma Kate Dickerson and Eli Dickerson; his sisters, Sharon (Melvin) Cantrell of Portland and Rose (George) Nunley of McMinnville, Tennessee; his daughter-in-law, Jeannie (Jason) Chaffin of Portland; and several nieces and nephews.

Those who knew Claude will remember a man deeply devoted to his family, whose quiet presence and steadfast love left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to call him father, grandfather, brother, or friend.
