Coffeyville, KS
Clark Lee High, age 81, of rural Coffeyville, Kansas, passed away on March 5, 2026. Born on July 24, 1944, in Elk City, Kansas, to Roy and Thelma (Tharp) High, Clark grew up in the area, graduated from local schools, and later lived in Moline before making his home in Coffeyville. He worked for the City of Coffeyville in roadway maintenance and was a proud member of the Union Labor local.
Clark found deep satisfaction in the outdoors and the rhythms of rural life. He enjoyed fishing, coon hunting, raising cattle, training horses, and working in the hayfields. Above all, he cherished the time spent with his family, who remained the center of his world.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sharon (Males) High; son Jeff High and wife Melissa, and their children Rachel, Haille, Emylee, and Connor High of Colorado; his grandson Noah VanBuren, whom he raised as a son, and wife Lacy, and their children Dagen, Braxton, Titus, and Blake; step-son Reese Skinner and wife Rebecca Northern, and their children Jason, Justin, and Jacob Northern of Oklahoma; five great-grandchildren; and brothers Gerald High of Missouri and Danny High of Neodesha, Kansas, along with many extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Jack and Jim High.
