Clarence Wayne Reiman

Clarence “C Dub / Dubber” Wayne Reiman, 74, of McPherson, Kansas, and formerly of Abilene, Kansas, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at his home surrounded by family.

Born on July 15, 1951, in Great Bend, Kansas, to Gerald “Red” Bernard and Bessie Irene (Ruark) Reiman, C.W. graduated from Hays High School in 1969 and attended Fort Hays State University. He worked as a maintenance technician for Wendy’s restaurants until his retirement.

C.W. cherished time spent with family and friends, and the birth of his grandson remained one of the most treasured moments of his life. He shared a loving companionship with Barb Schmidt, and together they co-owned their beloved dogs, Pepper and Annie, while enjoying travel and fishing. Known for his deep fondness for dogs, he carried treats in his pocket wherever he went. An avid golfer and accomplished bowler, C.W. won numerous tournaments and bowled several perfect games. He was also a passionate baseball fan and dedicated collector who took great pride in passing his extensive baseball card collection to his grandson. Each summer, the two shared the special tradition of traveling together to visit a new ballpark.

To those who knew him, C.W. was a loyal friend with a gift for creating fond and funny memories. Barney Crutchfield was a particularly close friend and mentor. He was a member of American Legion Post #24 and V.F.W. Post #2715.

He is survived by his daughter, Kelsey McPherson (Wade) of Hereford, Texas; siblings Tonnie Davis of Russell, Kansas, Gary Reiman of McPherson, Kansas, and Jerry Reiman (Dawn) of Orlando, Florida; grandchildren Zae and Kade McPherson; and many extended relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and longtime companion, Barb Schmidt.
