Clarence Lebron Welden, age 76, of Flat Rock, Alabama, passed away on March 13, 2026, at the Hospice Care Center of Chattanooga. Born on August 14, 1949, in Fort Payne, Alabama, to William Sims (Bill) and Christie Coralee Shaw Weldon, Clarence graduated from Ider High School in 1967 and served in the Alabama National Guard from 1971 to 1977. He retired from Cherokee Warehouse/Kenco and most recently worked at Jack’s. A longtime member of New Bethel Church of God, he lived a quiet life rooted in family, faith, and hard work.
He is survived by his sons, Terry Welden and Cary Welden (Tracy), and his granddaughter, Emilee Kathryn Welden. He also leaves behind his sisters, Edna Welden, Hellen Welden, and Betty Schweda (Joe); his brothers, Arland Welden (Sue), Norman Welden, James Weldon, and Earl Weldon (Kelly); sisters-in-law, Eva Weldon and Jean Weldon; and many nieces and nephews who will remember him fondly.
Clarence was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Evelyn Sparks (Charles); his brothers, H. R. Weldon, Doyle Weldon (Lela Mae), and Charles Weldon; his nephew, Roger Weldon; his niece, Brenda Ellis; and his stepmother, Barbara Weldon.
