Claire Bennis

Claire Bennis died peacefully on Sunday, March 8, 2026 at her home in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, surrounded by the love of her family.

Claire was the loving wife of James Bennis, with whom she shared more than 57 years of marriage. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Vernon and Laura Riggs Streck. She is survived by her sister Laura Sprowles and was predeceased by her siblings Vernon Streck, Joan Produrutti, and Doreen Paist.

Claire’s bright smile, striking blue eyes, and warm, easy manner drew people to her. She possessed a strong personality and was the person family and friends turned to in times of need. An avid sports enthusiast, she enjoyed golf, tennis, ice skating, and skiing. Known for her good taste and always-stylish way of dressing, she faced her illness with remarkable strength and grace.

She will be deeply missed by her husband James, her children Stacey Bennis, Nicole Flynn and her husband Rob, and Derek Bennis, and her cherished grandchildren Delaney and her husband Michael Kleiman, Cassidy Bennis, Kylie Flynn, Abby Bennis, Olivia Bennis, and Ciara Flynn.
