Cirildo Piñón

Cirildo Piñón, 83, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on March 9, 2026, in Harlingen, Texas. Born on May 22, 1942, in Carreton, San Felipe, Guanajuato, Mexico, to Pascual Piñón and Manuela Mejia Piñón, he lived a life marked by quiet dedication and deep faith.

For 31 years, Cirildo worked in the maintenance department of the San Benito Consolidated School District as a plumber, serving with commitment and reliability. A longtime and faithful member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, he generously volunteered with the religious education program and assisted with security.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Maria Elena Machuca Piñón; his parents, Pascual and Manuela Mejia Piñón; and his siblings. Cirildo is survived by his children, Cirildo Piñón Jr., Maricella Gonzales (Johnny), Rolando Piñón (Sonia), Reymundo Piñón, Melissa Piñón (Araceli), and Melinda Piñón (Aneli); his sister, Isabel Lucio; 10 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. He will be remembered with love by all whose lives he touched through his steady presence and gentle spirit.
