Cindy Sue Grimm, 74, of Canal Fulton, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 8, 2026. Born on August 29, 1951, in Akron, Ohio, Cindy spent most of her life in Barberton, where she built a legacy of compassion and selflessness.
A dedicated nurse, Cindy devoted her career to caring for others until declining health led to her early retirement. She was known for her boundless generosity, often putting the needs of others before her own, and for her loving, kind nature paired with a sharp sense of humor and a willingness to speak her mind. Through her warmth and unwavering support, she served as a positive light in the lives of countless family members, friends, coworkers, and neighbors.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack Leroy Morris Sr. and Helen Frances (Boyd) Morris; her sister, Rona (Morris) Gravius; her brother, Jack Leroy Morris Jr.; her brothers-in-law, Richard Gordon and Thomas Weiss; and her niece, Julie Weiss.
Cindy is survived by her daughters, Danielle Cain (Shannon), Gretchen Grimm, and Cally Elkins (Branden); her grandchildren, Julia Baum, Zachariah Grimm, Ted Fortseras, Aurora Elkins, and Baby Elkins; her great-grandson, Leo Baum; her sisters, Catherine Weiss, Martha Gordon, and Stella Barnes; her brother, Kim Morris (Tammy); her nieces, Mary Frances Wilcox (Jimmy), Jackie Morris Hopkins (Karlton), and Diana Garlock (Andrew); Howard and Bridget Elkins; her sister-in-law, Christine Morris; and many beloved family members, friends, former coworkers, neighbors, and furbabies who cherished her loving spirit.
