Cindy L. Burke

Cindy L. Burke, 68, of Carthage, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2026, surrounded by her beloved family.

Born on November 13, 1957, in Watertown to the late Albert and Betty (O’Connell) Myers, Cindy attended Carthage Central High School. She worked for many years as a nurse’s aide at Samaritan Medical Center and later as a sous chef at Partridge Berry Inn. Her marriage to Eric Burke ended in divorce.

Her children and grandchildren were the center of Cindy’s world, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Deeply devoted to her faith, she held a profound love for Jesus and a passion for sharing his message.

She is survived by her children, Greg Burke of Great Bend and Ericka Washer of Great Bend; granddaughters Shyloh Washer and Alyssa (Reshawn) Washer, both of Watertown; her brother Stephen Myers of Watertown; brother-in-law Richard Beirman; and many nieces and nephews. Cindy was predeceased by her parents, Albert and Betty Myers; her brother Richard Myers; and her sister Carol (Myers) Beirman.
