Cindie M. Curtis

Cindie M. Curtis, 74, of St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2026. She was born on July 13, 1951, in Maywood, California, to Paul E. and Velma A. (Heimbaugh) Trullinger.

In 2001, Cindie married the love of her life, William “Bill” E. Curtis. Together they shared a deep passion for country dancing, becoming both enthusiastic dancers and instructors. They cherished quiet walks, lively dances, and the warmth of time spent with family and their close circle of dance friends. A longtime member of Green Valley Baptist Church, Cindie lived with a quiet and steady faith that remained central to her life. She worked for 35 years as an administrative assistant at Missouri Western State University.

She was preceded in death by her parents. Cindie is survived by her husband, Bill; sons Matthew Murphy (Rebecca) and Ryan Murphy (Heather); stepson John Curtis (Megean); eleven grandchildren; sister Teresa Klein (Gary); and stepsister Linda White.
