Christopher Wright Sanders

Christopher Sanders was born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee, to Ronald and Mary Ruth Sanders. He graduated from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville in 1996 with a degree in mathematics and later returned to earn both a law degree and a master’s in library science. After living in Washington, DC, where he worked for the Department of Justice, he moved to Seymour, Tennessee, in 2019 and most recently served as an attorney for the Tennessee Valley Authority.

Chris had a deep love for reading, video games, and Dungeons & Dragons. He delighted in spoiling his three dogs—Cinnamon, Sweetie, and Storm—and was known for his sharp sense of humor and his exceptional mini cheesecakes. Above all, he was a man of genuine kindness who was always ready to help others in any way he could. His friends and family will miss him deeply.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Ruth Sanders. Chris is survived by his father, Ronald Sanders; his brother, Ronald Sanders Jr., and sister-in-law, Catherine; his nieces, Grace Sanders and Paige Hudgens, and her husband, Brandon; and his great-nephew, Wesley Kade Hudgens.
