Christopher Thomas Hodo

Christopher Thomas Hodo, age 40, of Dowling, Michigan, passed away on March 7, 2026, in Maple Grove Township, Michigan. Born on November 21, 1985, in Chicago, Illinois, he was the son of Tom Sarnecki and Dawn Marie (Hodo) Rugg.

Christopher graduated from Delton Kellogg High School with the Class of 2004. He worked at J.D. Martin Steel for 21 years. He found joy in fishing, working on cars, and taking on all kinds of mechanical projects. He held a special appreciation for old cars and loved spending time outdoors in nature. Above all, he cherished moments with his family and the loyal companionship of his beloved dog, Odie.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Jason Roe, and his grandparents, Thomas David and Mary Frances (Parkerson) Hodo and Douglas and Rhoda May (Green) Roe.

Christopher is survived by his mother and stepfather, Dawn and Rex Rugg; his father, Tom Sarnecki; his sister, Rustina (Nick) Christensen; his half-sister, Lisa Ann Sarnecki; his nieces, Karoline Roe and Raya Christensen; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins who will remember him with love. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
