Funeral services for Christopher Shane Mitchell, 50 of Corinth, MS are set for Thursday, March 19, 2026 at 6pm at Magnolia Funeral Home - South Chapel located at 741 HWY 45 South with interment in Magnolia Gardens. Visitation will be Thursday, March 19, 2026 from 4pm-6pm at Magnolia Funeral Home - South Chapel. Bro. Tracy Stafford will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Braden Mitchell, Payden Mitchell, Scotty Mitchell, Carson Mitchell, Beau Lee and Jon Gage Grimes. Honorary pallbearers will be Chad Grimes, Kevin Mills, Corey Clark and Keith Settlemires. Born July 6, 1975 in Corinth, MS., he passed away surrounded by the love of his family on Monday, March 16,2026. Chris was a devoted husband, father, son, grandfather, and brother who truly cherished time spent with those he loved most. He enjoyed cooking for his family, tending to his garden and relaxing while watching Alabama football. Some of his greatest joy came from spending time with his grandchildren and making memories with his family. He will be remembered for his love, and devotion to his family and the warmth he brought into the lives of those around him. Chris is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 31 years, Briony Mitchell; son, Blaine Mitchell (Lydia) and their children, Lynnon and Mason; daughter, Alanna Mitchell (Evan Patton); his mother, Talesha Mitchell; brothers, Brandon Mitchell (Tiffany) and Chad Mitchell; as well as a number of nieces and nephews, whom he adored. He also leaves behind a very special and close family, the Steve Glidwell family, who held a meaningful place in his life and other relatives and a host of friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Donald Keith Mitchell; his grandparents and many other family members.
