Christopher R. Raden

Christopher R. Raden, age 56, of Sartell, passed away at his home on March 14, 2026. Born on December 4, 1969, in St. Cloud to Thomas and Dannielle (Cundy) Raden, Chris graduated from Cathedral High School in 1988 and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education from St. Cloud State University in 1992.

He began his teaching career in Florida, where he dedicated 26 years to educating elementary students. In 2018, he returned to Minnesota to work for the Benton Stearns Education District. A lifelong athlete, Chris played competitive tennis in high school and continued his involvement in the sport by teaching and coaching young players in Florida. His passion for tennis, along with his interest in all levels of sports, remained a constant source of joy throughout his life.

At the center of Chris’s world were his mother, his son, and his grandchildren. His deep love for family extended warmly to a wide circle of friends in both Florida and Minnesota, with whom he stayed closely connected over the years.

Chris is survived by his son, Ryan (Noelle) Raden; mother, Dannielle Bunting; brother, Dan (Jo) Raden; stepsister Carrie (Steve) Rugg; stepbrother Raden (Ian) James; grandsons Maverick and Laker, and granddaughter Iverson Raden. He is also survived by his BFF and Ryan’s mom, Michelle Bellamy; stepmother Marjorie Raden; nieces and nephews Megan (Jack) Leniart, Rachel (Jared) Etienne, Cienna Raden, Tianna (Tucker) Isaacson, TJ (Maddie) Raden, Ashley (Sergio) Bardales, and Allison Gattamorta; and his beloved dog, Lexi. He was preceded in death by his brother Scott Raden, sister Nicole Bunting, father Tom Raden, stepfather Jason Bunting, Aunt and Godmother Dianne Welch, and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
