Christopher R. Babcock

Christopher R. Babcock, 62, of Winterville, North Carolina, passed away unexpectedly on March 11, 2026. Born in Rochester, New York, Chris built a life defined by kindness, humor, and generosity. He was known by those around him as someone who would truly give you the shirt off his back. He never hesitated to help someone in need, and his contagious laugh could brighten any room. Chris possessed a sharp, sarcastic sense of humor balanced by a warm heart, and he deeply loved his family and his dogs.

In his free time, he enjoyed cheering on the Buffalo Bills and pursuing his passion for photography, finding great joy in capturing moments through his camera. He was employed by Coastal Beverage.

Chris is survived by his loving spouse, Donna Babcock; his stepchildren, Joshua Leonard of Ohio and Jonathan Leonard of New York; his sister, Kathy Babcock Machado of Virginia; his aunt, Ginny Squier of Hawaii; and his nephew, Scotty Machado of Virginia. In accordance with his wishes, there will be no services.
