Christopher Edward Pritchett

April 10, 1995 March 6, 2026

New Boston, TX

Christopher Edward Pritchett, born April 10, 1995, in Texarkana, Texas, passed away suddenly on March 6, 2026.

Chris is survived by the love of his life, his wife Kayla Olson, and their three sons, Leyton, Jeydon, and Bentley, all of New Boston, Texas. He is also survived by his mother, Nikki Moore of Rodessa, Louisiana; his father, William Chadwick Pritchett of Texarkana, Texas; and his mother-in-law, Linda Olson of New Boston. He leaves behind his siblings: his baby sister Bergundie Pritchett and brother-in-law Andrew Wilson, with whom he shared a deep friendship; Raymond Pritchett of Ashdown, Arkansas; Hunter Pritchett of Red Water, Texas; sister and brother-in-law Tyler and Kourtney Greggory; sister Nikki Kennedy of Blanchard, Louisiana; and brother and sister-in-law Kyle and Amanda Moore of Ashdown, Arkansas. Chris cherished his eight nieces and eight nephews, and he shared a close bond with his many cousins, who were raised together more like siblings.

A gifted and creative soul, Chris could play multiple instruments by ear without ever learning to read music. He approached schoolwork with last-minute effort yet consistently succeeded, and he took pride in creating meals that delighted his mother and family. Compassionate and outgoing, he never met a stranger and deeply valued every connection he made. Above all, Chris found his greatest joy in raising his boys. Neighbors often recalled how he spent nearly every afternoon teaching his sons to play football and joining in games with all the children in the neighborhood. He was a natural mentor to young people. Though he was not a member of a specific church, he attended Starting Point Ministries in Vivian, Louisiana, and Eylau Baptist Church in Liberty Eylau during his childhood. He held a quiet but genuine love for God and gave love to others more freely than he gave to himself.

Chris will be laid to rest in Chapelwood Cemetery alongside his uncle, great-uncle, and great-grandmother.
