Christine "Flavin" Rohleder

Christine "Flavin" Rohleder

March 31, 1949 March 14, 2026

Wentzville, MO

Christine Marie Rohleder, née Flavin, was born on March 31, 1949, in St. Louis, Missouri, to the late Dorothy and Robert “Bob” Flavin. As the oldest of nine children, she grew up surrounded by a lively and loving family that remained a central part of her life.

In 1970, Christine married James Rohleder, beginning a lifelong partnership built on love, family, and shared adventure. The couple met in Chicago and spent many happy years traveling, boating, and watching their children grow. Christine had followed her dreams at eighteen, moving to Chicago to work as a flight attendant. What began as a job became a lifelong passion, allowing her to experience cultures across the globe and form lasting friendships.

She held a particularly deep connection to Kona on the Island of Hawaii, where she owned a home for the last twenty years of her life. The living energy of the volcanoes, the stark beauty of the black lava rock, and the endless blue of the Pacific brought her a profound sense of peace and belonging. Christine carried her spirit of curiosity and adventure with her always, gladly visiting her children in Denver and Los Angeles and cherishing time with her grandchildren.

Christine is lovingly remembered by her daughter Monica Rohleder of Los Angeles, California, Monica’s husband Timothy Duffy, and their children Riley and Moira Duffy; and by her son Brian Rohleder of Castle Rock, Colorado, his wife Shannon Rohleder, and their children Finnegan and Rory Rohleder. She is also survived by her siblings Robert Flavin (Jean), Michael Flavin (Kathleen), Patricia Mileszko (Michael, deceased), Glennon Flavin (Annie), Mary Jaromack (Jimmy), Kathy Mattli (Chris), Colleen Kinworthy (Michael, deceased), and Kelly Zangraft (Scott), along with many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends. Later in life, Christine and Jim moved to Wentzville, Missouri to be near family. She will be greatly missed for her warmth, generosity, adventurous spirit, and the way she embraced life every day.
