With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Christine Gawrys of Plainville, Connecticut, who passed away on March 4, 2026 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Stanley Gawrys and Lena Gawrys (Morante); and her extended family Paul Lickwar. She is survived by: her sisters, Kathy (David Kershaw) and Chrissy; her close friends, Kathie Lickwar (Camp), Rosemary Morante, Joanne Thibault (Morante) and Charlie Morante; and her friends, Linda Kohl, Wanda LaChance and Jane Prior.
A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, March 14th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Plainville Funeral Home (81 Broad St, Plainville, CT 06062). A prayer will be held on Saturday, March 14th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, Chrissy's family asks that you consider a donation to St. Luke Catholic School.
