(Faroni) Fitzsimmons, age 79, a longtime resident of Shelton peacefully entered into eternal rest on Thursday March 5, 2026 in Griffin Hospital in Derby. She is the beloved wife of 60 years to Jerome Fitzsimmons. She was born in Derby on August 6, 1946 the daughter of the late Augustine and Helen (Novinski) Faroni.Mrs. Fitzsimmons worked in the Accounts Receivable department of General Motors for many years before her retirement. She loved spending time reading, gardening, cooking and knitting. Most of all she cherished spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.Besides her husband, she is survived by her son Troy Fitzsimmons and his wife Rachelle, her daughter Tammy Esposito and her husband Michael, her grandchildren Kyle, Kaitlyn and Erin, her siblings Susan Piscioniere, Kenneth Faroni, and Steven Faroni and as well as several nieces and nephews.Friends are invited to greet Christine's family on Monday March 9 from 9 AM to 10:30 AM in the Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home, 253 Elizabeth St. Derby. Her funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 10:30 AM for her Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in St. Mary's Church, 212 Elizabeth St. Derby. Burial will follow at Mt.
