Christian Jordan Buxton

Christian Jordan “CJ” Buxton was born on October 20, 2000, and passed away on March 9, 2026, at the age of 25.

CJ graduated from DeQuincy High School in 2019. A quiet and gentle soul, he was an avid aviation enthusiast with a particular passion for air traffic control. Above all, his greatest and proudest accomplishment was his son. He cherished being a father and treasured every moment spent with his family. He found joy in cooking in the kitchen, gaming, playing soccer, and the peaceful solitude of fishing.

He is survived by his significant other, Christina “Addie” Hiney; his children, Briar Buxton and Koda Duhon; his mother, Teri Buxton; his sister, Tia Hambrick, and her husband Justin; his niece, Madison Harrison; and many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, Christopher Cowan, and his grandparents, Daphne Davis, Wanda Buxton, Virginia Adeline Porter, Chester Dwight Porter, and Clyde Pettifield.
