Preserve forever →Christian Chase Canalda
January 20, 1990— February 26, 2026
El Paso, TX
After a beautiful life filled with deep love, laughter, and devotion, our favorite person, and the heart of our family, Christian Chase Canalda, earned his golden wings. He was welcomed into heaven on Thursday, February 26, 2026. Christian was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and uncle whose strength, loyalty, and presence shaped the lives of everyone around him. Though his time here was far too short, the love he shared and the memories he created will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Christian shared an incredibly beautiful life with his loving wife, Mariah. Life brought them together at a young age. And when the time was right, God allowed them to find love with each other. Together they built a home filled with amazing children, countless memories and laughter. Everyday was special.
He truly thrived as a father. From the very beginning, Christian dove head first into fatherhood and never faltered. His children, Jade, Ava, and CJ, were the center of his world, and he took immense pride in guiding, protecting, and providing for them. Being their dad was not just a role he held—it was something he embraced wholeheartedly every single day.
Those who knew Christian knew he had a gift for making people laugh. He told the best jokes. He was incredibly fun to be around and had a spirit that naturally drew people in. Handsome, confident, and dependable, Christian was truly a man’s man—someone who took care of everything and everyone around him. He was also known for his big, beautiful hugs that made the people he loved feel safe and cared for, something his family and friends will miss deeply.
Christian was a rare human being, truly one in a million. He seemed to be good at everything he did—whether it was skateboarding, playing sports, cooking, or taking on any challenge that came his way. Whatever he put his mind to, he did it well.
He also knew how to enjoy life. He could never turn down a trip to Vegas and brought that same excitement, laughter, and energy into everyday life. Whether spending time with family, listening to great music, watching a Bengals game, or planning the next adventure, he made every moment memorable.
Christian is survived by his loving wife, Mariah; his children, Jade, Ava, and CJ Canalda; his mother, Cecilia Perez Canalda; his father, Jaime Canalda; and his sisters, Crystal Canalda and Candice Canalda. He also leaves behind many extended family members and friends who will forever cherish the memories they shared with him.
Christian’s life may have been cut short, but the love he gave will never fade. It lives on in the laughter of his children, in the strength of the family he protected, and in the countless memories he left behind. He was deeply loved, and he will be deeply missed, but he will never ever be forgotten.
