Chris Arthur, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on March 10, 2026, at the age of 58. Born on September 26, 1967, in New Orleans, Louisiana, and a longtime resident of Slidell, he was a man of great character and warmth whose presence brought joy to all who knew him.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 39 years, Roxanne Arthur. Chris was the adored father of Brooke Smith (Joel) and Kelly Craig (Michael), and the proud grandfather of Breez Craig, Sadie Craig, and Sage Smith. He is also survived by his mother, Jeannie Deyo (Butch), his brother, Charles Arthur Jr. (Michelle), and his sister, Tammy Guidry (Steve). He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Arthur.

Chris’s extended family includes his father-in-law, Olen Bryant, his mother-in-law, Joyce Bryant, his sister-in-law, Cindy Kelly, and his brother-in-law, Clint Bryant (Sharon), along with many nieces and nephews who will miss their fun-loving uncle.

A graduate of Northshore High School, Class of 1986, Chris was known for his strong work ethic and dedication. He spent many years as a forklift operator at the Walmart Distribution Center, where he earned the respect of his colleagues for his reliability and good nature. An avid outdoorsman, he found great joy in hunting and fishing, passions matched only by his enthusiasm for LSU sports. His infectious smile, generous spirit, and deep love for family and friends will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.
