He was born September 7, 1945 to the late Orris and Ruth Wood. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his granddaughter Shana Shearin; five brothers and one sister. No words are needed for everyone to know what a good man he is. He was known to many as "The Professor" and he never stopped learning. He earned his Associates Degree in Jet Engine Repair and took many classes at the community college over the years. Chester was hardworking, kind, and always knew how to make you laugh.Chester is survived by his wife of 33 years, Rebecca Wood; son Greg Shearin; daughters Kimberly Boley (Eron), Susan DeMarco (Kevin); grandchildren Devon Boley, Hayden Boley (Summer), Erica Shearin, Patrick Shearin (Angel), Gabriella Sophia DeMarco, Jenny Wood; four great grandchildren; brother Douglas Wood; sister Phyillis Stallings and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his good friends of 50 years Mike Davis, Richie Rich and Dennis Walston.A visitation will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, March 19, 2026 at Cornerstone Funeral Home with the service following at 12pm in the chapel.
