Chester Wayne Harmon

We are sad to announce that on March 8, 2026, at the age of 89, Chester Wayne Harmon of Butler, Tennessee passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Harmon and Blanche McGuire Harmon; and his siblings, Lois Church and Steven Harmon. He is survived by: his wife Ruth "Dolly" Potter Harmon of Poga, TN; his sons, Mark Wayne Harmon of Butler, TN and Tony Ray Harmon (Tammie) of Bristol, TN; his stepdaughter Karen Ruth Burchette of Butler, TN.; his grandchildren, Kevin Burchette, Jamie Burchette, Tyler Harmon, Tanner Harmon, Taylor Deloach, Isaiah Harmon, Abbie Harmon and Emma Hardin; his great grandchildren, Carter Deloach, Casick Deloach and Cora Deloach; and his siblings, Sam Harmon, Joe Harmon, David Harmon, Freddie Harmon, Sallie Harmon and Freida Duncan. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 11th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Chapel of Peace - Tetrick Funeral Home (211 N Riverside Dr, Elizabethton, TN 37643). A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, March 11th 2026 at 12:30 PM at the same location.
