Preserve forever →Chester Joseph Brady, Jr.
October 14, 1941— March 5, 2026
Lynn Haven, FL
Chester Joseph Brady, Jr., 84, of Lynn Haven, Florida, passed away on March 5, 2026, surrounded by his daughters and grandsons. Born on October 14, 1940, in Belleville, Illinois, he proudly served in the United States Air Force for 28 years, retiring as a Master Sergeant. He then worked for more than 25 years at Berg Steel Pipe Corporation, where he retired as a Production Shift Supervisor. Chester was an avid fisherman who loved watching college football and car racing, yet nothing brought him greater joy than spending time with his wife, Brenda Brady. Married for 56 years, he missed her deeply after she preceded him in death.
A loving husband, incredible father, and cherished Paw Paw, Chester was known for his kind heart and generous spirit. He was a friend to everyone and always stepped in to help those in need, even strangers. He will be remembered fondly by all whose lives he touched.
He is survived by his daughters, Lisa Brady and Kathi Brady Young; his grandsons, Benjamin Brady and Nolan Young; and his brothers, Clifford “Skip” Brady (Beverly), Charles Whitecotton (Karen), and Ron Whitecotton (Kim). He also leaves behind many extended family members, nieces, nephews, and friends who were like family. Chester was preceded in death by his father, Chester J. Brady, Sr., his mother, Gladys McIntosh Whitecotton, his sister Elizabeth “Betty” Peters (and her husband Ronald “Ron” Peters and their sons Russ and Randy), his sister Mary Ellen Gossman, and his brother Robert “Bob” Brady. He was very close to Brenda’s large family and shared in the grief of their losses as well.
He is now reunited with Brenda and their dear friends Joseph “Joe” and Gwen Spalding, who had gone ahead of him.
