Though Cheryl may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.

She was predeceased by: her husband Terry Johnson; and her son Charles Johnson. She is survived by: her son Roger Johnson of Chicago; her grandson Sebastian Johnson of South Bend, IN; and her siblings, Richard Smith (Paulette) of Fontana, WI and Karen Smith (James Evans) of Palm Coast, FL. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and their children.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 11th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home (185 E Northwest Hwy, Palatine, IL 60067). A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 11th 2026 at 5:00 PM at the Smith-Corcoran Palatine Funeral Home (185 E Northwest Hwy, Palatine, IL 60067).
