Cheryl D Meagher

Cheryl Meagher passed away peacefully at her home on March 4, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born on March 14, 1949, in Evansville, Indiana, to Emma and William Meagher, she was preceded in death by both parents.

Cheryl is survived by her children, Shae Crooks (Tiffany) and Jennifer Burriss. She was the proud nana to Chauna Bednar, Ashlynn Thompson (Michael), McKenzi Welborn (Michael), and Brannon “B” Crooks, and great-grandmother to Ronnie, Bawer, Odin, and Auston, who were the light of her life. She is also survived by her brothers Vick Meagher and Mike Meagher.

She cherished time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, baking cookies, creating memories, and simply watching them play. Cheryl enjoyed arts and crafts, working on word searches, and baking bread, especially her beloved banana nut bread. In quieter moments she could be found sitting outside with a cup of coffee, watching hummingbirds. She was known for her profound and occasionally spicy choice of words that brought laughter to those around her.

Her family finds comfort knowing she is reunited with her late husband Ronald “Ronnie” Crooks and her brothers Chaun Meagher and Patrick Meagher. Her love, laughter, and memories will live on in the hearts of her family, by whom she will be truly and deeply missed.
