Cheryl Ann (Santos) Thomas

Cheryl Ann (Santos) Thomas

Dartmouth, MA

Cheryl Ann (Santos) Thomas passed away unexpectedly at her home in Dartmouth on March 9, 2026, at the age of 81. Born on October 22, 1944, in Provincetown, Massachusetts, she was the cherished daughter of the late Richard M. Santos and Helen (Pacellini) Santos. She was predeceased by her former husband, Thomas L. Thomas, and her sister-in-law, Marion Joan (Thomas) Morgan.

Cheryl’s devotion to her family defined her life. After high school, she earned an Associate’s Degree in bookkeeping from Becker Junior College and later enjoyed a long career as a bank teller at St. Anne’s Credit Union. She first devoted many years to raising her children, creating a stable, consistent, and loving home for them. A wonderful cook, she happily hosted holiday gatherings and welcomed neighborhood children who regarded her as a second mother. She was also the ever-reliable “Mom taxi,” always ready to support her family’s busy schedules.

She will be remembered for her fond stories of Provincetown in its glory days, where she had been a resident, waitress, member of the local sailing club, and a proud graduate of Provincetown High School in 1962.

Cheryl is survived by her daughters, Jodi Lin Thomas and her husband James Baker of New Bedford, and Jami Lee (Thomas) Edmundson and her husband Bruce of Dartmouth; her grandson, Tyler Richard Edmundson, and his wife Jessica; and her two great-grandchildren, Harper Leigh and Ryder Blake, all of New Bedford.
