Cheryl A. Warne

Cheryl A. Warne was born on November 14, 1954, in Wichita, Kansas, to Larry and Emma Lou Combs. She passed away peacefully surrounded by family on March 4, 2026, at the age of 71.

Cheryl devoted her life to serving others, beginning her career at the Judge Riddel Boys Ranch. She then spent 38 years with the Salvation Army, working first in Youth Services before becoming Director of Social Services and Emergency Disaster Services. A dedicated servant of Christ, she found deep purpose in helping those in need.

She loved life and found joy in simple pleasures. She tended her flower garden with care and embraced the outdoors through camping, hiking, and fishing. She also enjoyed painting and a variety of crafts.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents, Larry and Emma Lou Combs. She is survived by her husband, Paul Warne; siblings, Michael Combs (Charlotte), Janice Combs, Becky Rhodd, and Linda Luther (Bob); seven nieces and nephews; and eleven great-nieces and great-nephews. She is also survived by stepsons, Paul Warne III (Margo), Justin Warne, and Adam Warne; eight step-grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
