Cheryl A. Rivard

Cheryl A. Rivard, age 70, of Becker, passed away at her home on March 11, 2026. Born on July 13, 1955, in Minneapolis to Earl and Evelyn (Peterson) Krenz, Cheryl lived a life centered on family, hard work, and the simple joys that brought her peace.

She married John Rivard on May 15, 1999. Cheryl spent many years as a cook at the University of Minnesota and later worked as a parking attendant. She cherished time spent at the cabin on Gull Lake, where she found deep contentment surrounded by loved ones. Her days were filled with helping others, caring for her beloved dogs, making trips to the casino, enjoying road trips, and visiting her mother in Texas.

Cheryl is survived by her husband John; her mother, Evelyn Krenz of Mercedes, Texas; her children, Rick Krenz of East Bethel, George Anderson III of Carlton, Melissa (Paul) Scales of Big Lake, and Justen (Jennifer) Tomczyk of Princeton; her step-daughter, Jennifer (Steve) Rivard of Oak Grove; her grandchildren, JR, Jasmine, Dakota, Ally, Isabelle, and Klayton; her great-grandchildren, Myles, Violet, and Skylar; her sister, Vicky (Gary) Campion of Champlin; and her best friend, Suzie. She was preceded in death by her father, Earl Krenz, and her daughter-in-law, Melissa Lee Anderson.
