Charlotte Vitale ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Volk Leber Funeral Home - Oradell on Mar. 9, 2026.Charlotte "Sharna" Vitale peacefully passed away on March 8, 2026.With love and heartfelt remembrance, we announce the passing of our mother Sharna Vitale, daughter of Samuel and Rachel Brodsky. She was a wonderful wife, mother, devoted friend, and cherished member of her community.Sharna's life was filled with kindness, humor, fun, family, love, and dedication to the people around her. She was one of a kind, wonderfully strong-minded, and always lived by her own rules.Sharna was born in Calgary, Canada, the youngest of four children and the first to be born in the "New World" after her family emigrated from what is now Moldova. She was predeceased by her beloved sister Shirley Rabinovitch and her twin brothers, Edward "Eddie" Brodsky and David Brodsky.In 1957, Sharna moved to New York where she began working as a secretary and soon built the foundation of a loving family. She married and became the proud and devoted mother of two children who were truly the loves and light of her life. Later in life, Sharna and her children became best friends.Sharna was an exceptional mother who selflessly gave her time, energy, and love to raise her children. She then worked at Reader's Digest in Pleasantville NY as a secretary. She is lovingly remembered by her son Stewart Loeb and his wife Pam, and her daughter Janice Bloom and her husband Paul Ouimet.She also shared a special bond with her step-grandson, Nick Ouimet. Sharna had a deep love for animals and especially adored her grand-dogs, who always brought her great happiness.In 1988, Sharna married her beloved husband Jack, and together they shared many joyful years filled with laughter and companionship. They loved dancing, dining, and traveling around the world, creating wonderful memories together until Jack's passing in 2006.In 1993, Sharna and Jack moved to The Villages, Florida, where they embraced a vibrant and happy life. There they met many wonderful friends and became active members of their growing community. Playing Mahjong, lunches with friends, mornings in the pool and dinner parties with friends were some of Sharna's favorite past times.Sharna and Jack, along with several close friends, played an important role in helping build Temple Shalom of Central Florida. Their vision, dedication, love, and hard work helped bring the temple to life and made it possible for many people to worship and gather together.She remained a devoted member of Temple Shalom for many years. Sharna volunteered in the temple office and also served as secretary of the Sisterhood, always giving her time generously to help others. In 2022, she moved to the Clearbrook Community in Monroe Township NJ to be closer to her children and spend more quality time with them.Those who wish to honor her memory may consider making a charitable donation to Temple Shalom of Central Florida- The Jack Vitale Education fund.13563 County Rd 101, Oxford Fl 34484-2430Her memory will forever remain a blessing to her family, her friends, and her community.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
