Charlotte Dorethy

In loving memory of Charlotte Dorethy of Macomb, Illinois, who departed this world on March 9, 2026 at the age of 88. Charlotte leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Gilbert Hatch (Doc) and Evelyn Webb Hatch; her spouse Merlin Dorethy; her in-laws, Bill and Elsie Dorethy; her siblings-in-law, Jerry and Marlene Kimble; and her nephew Lonnie Dobbins.

She is survived by: her children, Melody Dorethy of Colchester, IL and Mark Dorethy (Janine) of Tennessee, IL; her granddaughters, Heather Parkin (Matthew) of Carthage, IL and Haley Dorethy (Spencer Raleigh) of Macomb, IL; and her sister Bebe Ann Dobbins (Robert). She is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren, 3 nephews, 1 niece and numerous cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 14th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Plymouth Circle Community Center (102 S Lexington St, Plymouth, IL 62367). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 14th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Plymouth Circle Community Center or the Colchester Methodist Church.
