Charlotte Thrasher Pickett, 74, of East Ridge, passed away on March 12, 2026. Born on December 18, 1951, she grew up in the area and remained a person of deep Baptist faith throughout her life. She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Thrasher, her mother, Wilma Thrasher, her sister, Nancy Rountree, and her husband, Dr. James Pickett. She is survived by several cousins.
From her youth, Charlotte showed remarkable drive and athleticism. While in high school at East Ridge and during college, she played fast-pitch softball with the Chattanooga Comets, traveling across the country to compete in national women’s softball championships. She went on to build a dedicated career as a nurse practitioner, caring for newborns in neonatal intensive care units in Tennessee, South Carolina, and Florida.
Beyond her professional life, Charlotte embraced adventure and learning. She loved traveling both within the United States and abroad, and she took the time to earn her license as a pilot and become a certified scuba diver. Those closest to her remember her independent spirit and the grace with which she approached life’s many pursuits.
