Charlie Hamilton Judge, Jr., age 78, of Decherd, Tennessee, passed away on March 13, 2026, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville from injuries sustained in an accident. Born in Decherd on November 27, 1947, to the late Charlie Hamilton Judge, Sr., and Beulah Rollins Judge, he spent his life as a self-employed auto mechanic. Known throughout the community for his remarkable ability to repair anything, Junior worked on farmers’ tractors, lawn mowers, and automobiles, always ready to lend his skills wherever they were needed.

He had a deep love for animals, especially his cherished dogs Dottie and Toby. Above all, he will be remembered as the dependable family member who was always there to help, no matter what the need might be.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters Ida Wimley, Bonnie Scharber, and Betty Jane Wimley, his brother Eugene Judge, his sister-in-law Alita Judge, and his brother-in-law Ronald Sanson.

He is survived by his siblings Wendy Judge and Peggy Sanson of Decherd, Linda Sanson of Alto, Shirley Green and husband Freddie of Hillsboro, brothers A.J. Judge of Hillsboro, Wayne Judge and wife Janice of Manchester, and James Judge and wife Crystal of Decherd. He also leaves behind the daughter and sons he cherished as his own: Shannon Judge of Ardmore, Tennessee, Timothy Judge of Belvidere, and David Partin of Nashville.
