Charles W. Harton

Charles W. Harton, 68, of Houston, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2026, in Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. Born on September 22, 1957, in Washington, he was the son of the late Gaylord and Betty Grim Harton.

Chuck graduated from Washington High School and served for 30 years with the Chartiers Township Police Force, retiring in 2015. During his career, he participated in the DARE program and the police honor guard. After retirement, he continued to support his community by directing traffic for Central Christian Academy in Houston. He was also a longtime member of the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #22 in Meadow Lands.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Andrea Pallegrini Thomas-Harton; his children, Adam Thomas of Washington and Amber Gill (Timothy) of Houston; his sister, Donna Marlene Huffman (Nelson) of Washington; his brother, David Harton (Linda) of Washington; two nephews, Frank Huffman and David Harton; and a niece, Beth Harton. At his request, there will be no visitation. A memorial service to celebrate Chuck’s life will be held at a date and time to be announced.
