Charles attended Pamlico County Schools.He was preceded in death by his parents, step-mother Blanche Griggs and stepbrother, Carroll Voliva. He is survived by his sons, Charles (CJ) Vernon Griggs III and Benjamin Griggs. He is also survived by his aunt, Elaine G. Sadler, step-siblings, Barbara Morris, Angela Jenkins, Stephen Voliva Sr., Sherry Jones, Tony Voliva, and cousin Kermit Sadler Jr.A private interment in Celestial Memorial Gardens, Cash Corner, North Carolina, will be held at a later date.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
