"Charlie" O'Beirne, a cherished husband, father, brother, grandfather, and uncle, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2026 at his home in Holmdel, New Jersey, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on April 13, 1967 in Passaic, New Jersey, Charlie's warmth and humor touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.Charlie grew up in Wood-Ridge, New Jersey with siblings Maureen, Vincent, and Sean, and created countless joyful childhood memories with his family and neighbors across the street. He met his soulmate, JoAnn LaPenta, when they were both teenagers. The two fell deeply in love and were married on December 7, 1991. Charlie and JoAnn moved to Holmdel in 1998, where they grew their family and lovingly raised their four cherished children, Shannon, Johnny, Chance, and Dale. Charlie's pride in each of his children was evident to everyone who knew him, and the love he felt for them radiated from him.Over the course of his professional career, Charlie worked as a manager for companies including Samsung, Lucent Technologies, and Hewlett-Packard. Later in his life, he delved into the world of real estate, helping people and families find their perfect home. His colleagues will remember him for his integrity, wit, and the genuine care he showed to both clients and coworkers.Charlie was an avid Bruce Springsteen fan, and his love for the beach and the Jersey Shore was well-known among his friends and family. Charlie and JoAnn cared for many special pets together over their years together, and they opened their hearts and home as a foster family for American Bulldog Rescue, demonstrating their deep compassion for animals in need.Above all, Charlie's greatest joy was found in the time spent with his family, and his love for them was truly the cornerstone of his life. Whether traveling together to places like Ireland and Disney World or spending time in the backyard by the pool, the O'Beirne family shares countless memories with Charlie that will forever remain in their hearts.Charlie was predeceased by his parents, Vincent P. and Anna (Stolz) O'Beirne. He leaves behind a legacy of love, including his devoted wife, JoAnn, and his cherished children, Shannon, Johnny, Chance, and Dale O'Beirne; his treasured grandson, Gabriel; and his caring siblings, Sean O'Beirne and his wife Jamie, Maureen Lia and her late husband Michael, and Vincent O'Beirne, Jr. and his wife Lisa. Charlie was also a favorite uncle to many nieces and nephews, who will miss his playful spirit and gentle guidance.Charlie's life was a testament to the qualities that best describe him: loving, funny, and gentle. His laughter, warmth, and kindness will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known him.
