Charles S. Lassen

Charles S. Lassen, born July 19, 1941, in Racine, Wisconsin, to Norman and Adele Lassen, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2026, at the age of 84 with his wife by his side.

Chuck graduated from Marquette University with a degree in electrical engineering. A gifted mathematician, he earned his Professional Engineer license and enjoyed a long and successful career in the field. In 1964, he married Ann, the love of his life, and together they raised two children, Christa and her husband Ken, and Erik and his wife Dawn.

He maintained a lifelong passion for science and science fiction, particularly space exploration and aviation. He earned his private pilot’s license and spent many joyful years flying small aircraft. This interest found further expression in his meticulous scale modeling of aircraft, spacecraft, and automobiles. Chuck also cherished traditional jazz from the 1940s through the 1960s and was an avid Green Bay Packers fan who loved listening to his hi-fi and attending live performances.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 61 years, Ann; his children and their spouses, Christa and Ken, and Erik and Dawn; his grandson, Nolan; and his sister, Marian.
