He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Conroy and Donnabelle Conroy (Savage); his son Todd L. Jeffery L. of Missouri; his siblings, James Conroy, John Axelsen and Dawn Drydale; his daughter-in-law Lori; and his siblings' children, Jarad Axelsen and Chassidy Axelsen.

He is survived by: his son Troy D. Conroy (Michelle) of North Carolina; his wife Nancy A. Selindh; his children, Jeff Conroy (Heidi) of Mason City, Shelley Frangenberg of Ankeny and Darcy Stroinski (Mike) of Ankeny; his grandchildren, Seth Conroy (Claire), Jadon Conroy (Sierra) and Tyler Frangenberg (Sophie); his brother Rick Axelsen; his sibling's children, Darren and Becky Hewett; his cousins, Bruce and Diane Rich; Dave and Kathy Pueggel. He is also survived by several nephews, nieces.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Ward Van Slyke Colonial Chapel (310 1st Ave N, Clear Lake, IA 50428).
