Charles "Jimmy" Rasel, 79, of Lone Pine died peacefully Sunday March 15, 2026 at UPMC Washington surrounded by his family. He was born on July 10, 1946, a son of the late Albert and Edith Sowers Rasel. He was a 1964 graduate of Clark school in Washington, PA and worked for over 20 years at ARC Human services. He was a religious man, not belonging to one church in particular, but enjoyed attending many churches throughout the area.Jimmy enjoyed dancing, singing, and listening to oldies, especially Elvis Presley. Throughout his entire life, Jimmy was cared for by a family that loved him dearly. In his later years, Supernova Services assisted with in-home care where he was surrounded by support team that were all like family to him. Jimmy was the last of his immediate family. He is survived by a nephew John Kelley (Tiffany), four great nephews Bryan McWreath (Charles), Kyle McWreath (Alexa), Evan McWreath (Amanda), Liam Kelley, a great niece Caitlyn Kemp (Ryan), and two great great nephews Callen and Maverick. Deceased in addition to his parents are siblings Duane Rasel, Ruth Kelley, Frank McCoy, Boyd McCoy, and a niece Linda McWreath.Family and friends will be received Thursday from 4:00-8:00P.M. in the Nichol Funeral Home 1873 East Maiden Street Washington where funeral services will be held on Friday March 20, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. Interment will follow in Lone Pine cemetery. An online guestbook may be signed at www.nicholfuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers, the family will be accepting donations for a Memorial Fund in Jimmy's honor to support individuals with disabilities in need.
