Charles R. Bastin

Charles R. Bastin, known to all as Charlie, was born on May 5, 1949, in Cincinnati, Ohio, and passed away on March 8, 2026. A cherished brother, uncle, cousin, and friend, Charlie brought warmth and laughter to everyone who knew him. He possessed a wonderful sense of humor and delighted in telling jokes, always ready to laugh heartily at his own stories. His remarkable memory was a true gift to family and friends alike.

Charlie showed deep devotion and compassion when he cared for his mother, Rose, throughout her battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. His kind spirit and generous heart left a lasting impression on all whose lives he touched.

He is survived by his beloved sister, Theresa Dill (née Bastin), his brother Ed Bastin (Laurie), and many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and dedicated caretakers who supported him over the years. Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Rose Bastin, and his brother-in-law, Edward Dill. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
