Wages Funeral Service - Lawrenceville on Mar. 17, 2026.Charles "Alan" Mullinax, Sr., Attorney at Law, Ret., age 78, of Braselton, Georgia, went home to his Lord and Savior on Sunday, March 15, 2026 after a gallant journey with Alzheimer's.Alan is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 25 years, Jill Holden Mullinax; daughter, Melanie Mullinax of Buford, GA; stepson and wife, Dallas Cruce (Mary Cate) of Athens, GA; grandchildren; Anna Gaines & Elijah Gaines, of Buford, GA and Iva Cruce of Athens, GA; father-in-law, Silas Holden of Tucker, GA; sister-in-law, Julie Falk and her two sons, Andrew Falk and Ryan Falk all of Tucker, GA; step-daughter-in-law, Lauren Cruce Vaughan and her daughter, Vivian both of Cumming, GA; step siblings, Ron Echols (Donna) of Gainesville, GA, Ricki Tobin (David) of Bethlehem, GA, Lane Puckett (Berry) of Dacula, GA several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and a host of many friends.Alan was preceded in death by his son, Alan Mullinax, Jr.; stepson, Austin Cruce; parents, Thomas V. Mullinax and Mary Alice Pharr Mullinax; brother, Tommy Mullinax; two sisters, Mary Ellen Singleton and Shirley Ann Lipscomb; stepmother, Bette Mullinax.Alan was born in Atlanta, Georgia, at Crawford W. Long Hospital on October 17, 1947 and graduated from Clarkston High School. He was a Veteran of the United States Army serving during the Vietnam Campaign and received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Good Conduct Medal and Bronze Star Medal.Alan was a prominent Attorney in Lawrenceville, GA and was Founder of the Law Office of Alan Mullinax & Associates, P.C. He practiced law in Gwinnett County for 40 years and had a strong background in Family Law, Divorce, Child Custody, and Criminal Law. Alan graduated from Dekalb College with an Associate of Arts (A.A.) Degree in 1972 and obtained his J.D. from John Marshall Law School in June of 1975. He had been recognized as one of the best attorneys in Gwinnett County, Georgia, and was always known for his professional standards and advocacy for his clients and colleagues. He served as President of the Gwinnett County Bar Association from 1987-88. Alan will be deeply missed by his adoring family and many friends. "Well done, my good and faithful servant."A Memorial Service to Honor and Remember the Life of Alan Mullinax will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. at Tom M. Wages Lawrenceville Chapel with Dr. James Merritt officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
