Born on March 7, 1965, in Dearborn, Charles spent his entire life bringing joy and warmth to those who knew him.Known for his unwavering kindness and infectious smile, Charles was the epitome of love and light. He had a deep passion for music, particularly classic country and bluegrass, and he could often be found sharing these melodies with others. Charles was a loyal companion who never met a stranger, always welcoming new friends into his life with open arms and a smile that could light up any room.Charles cherished spending time with his sister, Lydia, with whom he shared countless memories and adventures. Charles traveled extensively, visiting nearly every state in the U.S. except for two. Whether bowling, traveling by airplane, or simply enjoying beer and pizza, Charles lived his life with enthusiasm and joy. On special occasions like his birthday and Christmas, he savored a beer, a simple tradition that brought him happiness.Preceded in death by his father, Charles Tackett, and grandparents Ada Little, Walter Little, and Oreland (Madgie) Tackett, Charles leaves behind his loving mother, Mary Tackett, and his cherished sister, Lydia Moore, along with her husband, Mike Moore, and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Charles's memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM, followed by a service at 3:00 PM. Interment will take place at Michigan Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Charles to the Special Olympics of Michigan.May Charles's spirit continue to inspire love, laughter, and kindness in us all.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
