He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth Kavanaugh McCauley and Howard McCauley; his sister Thais; his brother-in-law Donny; his sister Rita; his brother-in-law Tony Lemer; his brother John Wayne; his siblings-in-law, Eugene Jensen, Richard Jensen and Joyce Baker; and his nephews, Kelly McCauley and Howard Lemer.

He is survived by: his wife Sylvia McCauley; his daughters, Rhonda Rae McCauley and Karla Jean McCauley Hayes (Lee England); his grandson Michael McCauley-Hayes; his great grandchildren, Abner McCauley Hayes and Abigail Leann Hayes; his sister Wanda Mitchell (Bill); and his sister-in-law Carol Jensen. He is also survived by several nieces and special friends.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 17th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Our Redeemer's Lutheran Church (1024 6th St W, Williston, ND 58801). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, March 17th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the Riverview Cemetery (815 9th Ave W, Williston, ND 58801).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials go to Our Redeemer's Church or a Charity of your choice.
