Middletown, DE
Charles M. “Chuck” Redstone, 74, of Middletown, Delaware, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on January 13, 1952, Chuck lived a life rooted in unwavering faith, deep devotion to family, a strong work ethic, and a quick wit that could brighten any room.
He was the beloved husband of Leanne (Hawkes) Redstone, with whom he shared a life grounded in love, family, and their strong Catholic faith. Preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert and Catherine (Kleber) Redstone, and his brother, Al Redstone, Chuck is survived by his brothers, James Redstone and William Redstone; his children, Jenna L. Mazzarelli (Daniel), Charles M. Redstone II (Amanda), Emmalee S. Lawrence (Mark), and Kathryn M. Waring (Derek); his treasured grandchildren, Edward L. Pacheco Jr. (Kearstin), Benjamin C. Pacheco (Katelyn), Zachary D. Pacheco, Christopher S. Buskell, Sophia C. Redstone, Madeline G. Bowen, Tesa K. Lawrence, Charlee M. Waring, Trace S. Lawrence, and Carter H. Waring; and his great-grandson, Bennett J. Pacheco.
A proud graduate of Salesianum School, Chuck built a distinguished career in the long-term care insurance industry. He owned his own agency before retiring from New York Life Insurance Company in 2017 as the first individual promoted to LTC Senior Sales Director. Even in retirement, he continued working in different fields, forming friendships and leaving lasting impressions wherever he went. He was especially proud of his many years involved with the Boy Scouts of America alongside his son, where his dependable nature, servant heart, and ability to lead by example shone through.
To all who knew him, Chuck was simply the world’s greatest Pop. His greatest joy was his family, and he spoke often and proudly of his children and grandchildren, following their lives closely and celebrating them wholeheartedly. He showed up for the people he loved with quiet strength and selflessness, always ready to lend a hand or offer support. A man of deep faith, sharp humor, and an unforgettable laugh, Chuck found peace in nature, especially on hikes along the Falls Trails at Ricketts Glen State Park. He loved swimming with his grandchildren, caring for his lawn, traveling with his wife, cruising, exploring wine country, and visiting Saint Thomas, where Magens Bay held a special place in his heart. He will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and always loved.
