Charles Lowell VanArsdale Sr.

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Charles Lowell VanArsdale Sr. of Dresden, Ohio, who passed away on March 3, 2026 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his mother Floretta VanArsdale (Boggs); his children, Charles L. VanArsdale Jr., Tammy L. Richards and Debbie Asselin; his granddaughters, Stacy Hottinger and Rachel Meade; his great grandchild Kevin Wells; his sons-in-law, Fred Dilo, Roger Hottinger Sr. and Joseph Asselin; and his sisters, Judy Tucker, Barbara Gaa and Patricia VanArsdale.

He is survived by: his father Lowell Henry; his wife Phyllis; his daughters, Balinda Hottinger, Vickie Dilo, Jeanie McPeck and Rhonda VanArsdale (Randy Williams); his siblings, Helen Kirkendall (Richard), Colleen Kirkpatrick and David VanArsdale (Marylin); and his son-in-law Jeff Richards. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; 9 great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 11th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Brucker & Kishler Funeral Home (985 N 21st St, Newark, OH 43055). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 from 12:15 PM to 12:30 PM at the Newark Memorial Gardens (4244 Marion Rd NE, Newark, OH 43055).

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made at the American Cancer Society.
