Charles "Bud" Lowe

Charles "Bud" Lowe, 87, of Picayune, MS, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2026, at Highland Community Hospital. Born on September 28, 1938, in Foxworth, MS, he was the beloved son of Johnnie and Ophelia Lowe. A proud 1960 graduate of Picayune Carver High School, Charles went on to become a respected entrepreneur, owning and operating LLS Trucking/Transportation Company for 48 dedicated years.Affectionately known as "Bud," he was a man of many talents, but he was perhaps best known for his mastery of the grill. He had a deep love for cooking, and his signature barbecue was a favorite among family and friends, bringing people together for many joyful meals. A man of faith, Charles was a devoted and longtime member of St. Matthew Missionary Baptist Church in Picayune, MSCharles is survived by his loving wife, Rosemary Laday Lowe; his children, Pam, Perry, Paul, Percy, and Trent; his cherished grandchildren; and his siblings, Johnnie Lowe Jr., Willa D. Cousin, and Willie B. Cousin. He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie and Ophelia, and his two brothers, Arthur D. and Charles C. Lowe.A funeral service celebrating his life will be held at St. Matthew Missionary Baptist Church on Saturday, March 21, 2026. Public viewing hour be from 10:00AM - 10:55AM followed by the funeral service at 11:00 AM.Interment service will take place immediately after the Funeral Service at The Old Picayune Cemetery, located on 8th Street, Picayune, MS 39466
