He was predeceased by: his significant other Celena Marie Stanford; his parents, Earl Stanford and Wilodean Stanford; and his sister Ann Kirk. He is survived by: his sons, Michael Stanford and Matt Stanford (Loren) of Cedar Grove; his brothers, Jerry Stanford (Rita) of Cedar Grove and Greg Stanford (Patricia) of Decaturville; his close friend Kendall Dancy; and his siblings-in-law, Alisa Byars (Carl), Robin Buttrey (Todd), Mitchell Carter (Melinda) of Clarksburg and Will Carter (Mandy) of Collierville. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and more friends.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 11th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, March 12th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Mt. Gilead Baptist Church (5751 Hwy 104 N, Cedar Grove, TN 38321). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery (331 Pleasant Hill Cemetery Rd, Cedar Grove, TN 38321).
