Charles Lenart Glenn

February 8, 1944 March 16, 2026

Columbus, OH

Charles Lenart Glenn, a beloved Columbus native and cherished community figure, passed away peacefully on March 16, 2026, in his hometown of Columbus, Ohio. Born on February 8, 1944, Charles lived a life marked by kindness, laughter, and a steadfast commitment to those he loved.

For two decades, Charles was the proud owner of Le-High Carryout, a place not just of business but of friendship and connection. He brought more than just food to the community—he brought heart, warmth, and a genuine interest in every person who crossed his path. Known as an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan, Charles wore his passion for the team proudly, his enthusiasm infectious and his spirit unyielding.

Those who knew Charles remember him as a true character—a goofy jokester whose humor brightened the darkest days. He lived by a philosophy of optimism; his glass was always half full, and his positive outlook on life was a source of comfort and encouragement for his family and friends alike. He was an enemy to none and a friend to all, a testament to his generous and open-hearted nature.

Above all else, Charles treasured his role as a father and grandfather. He loved being a guiding presence in their lives and was, without question, the best friend to his children, Matthew (Amanda) Glenn and Jennifer (Brian) Burton. His mentorship extended beyond his immediate family, touching all who sought his counsel and care. His grandchildren – Stephanie, Cig, Raven, Sarah, Madison, and Emma – along with great grandson Thorin, were his pride and joy, the bright lights of his later years.

Charles leaves behind a legacy of warmth and generosity, having been preceded in death by his beloved wife, Janet Glenn, his parents, Bud and Cecilia (O'Grady) Glenn, and his sister, Jackie Edwards. Though their absence is deeply felt, the love and memories they shared continue to live on in Charles’s heart and in the stories told by those who remember him.

In reflecting on Charles’s life, one cannot help but be moved by his enduring spirit, his laughter echoing in the halls of those who loved him. He taught us all that life is richer when met with a smile and an open heart. His presence was a blessing, and he will be profoundly missed but forever celebrated.

Charles Lenart Glenn’s journey may have ended, but the light he cast upon the world remains, carried forward by his family, his friends, and the countless lives he touched with his kindness and joy.
