Charles was born on June 19, 1942, in Omaha, Nebraska, to Virginia (Scott) Marrs and Dr. Walford D. Marrs.Charles spent more than 50 years working in appliance sales, a career through which he built lasting relationships and earned the respect of both coworkers and customers. He was a member of First Methodist Church in Forney, where he enjoyed fellowship and community.On August 3, 1987, Charles married Janice Sue Marrs, in Rockwall, Texas. Together they shared many years of love, laughter, and cherished memories.Charles was a devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose greatest joy was his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Janice Sue Marrs; his children Jeffrey D. Marrs and wife Sherri, Shelley R. Johnston and husband Sammy, Vonda Potts and husband Danny, Thomas B. Marrs and wife Wendy, and Audie G. Allen and Courtney Egan.He was a proud grandfather to Samantha and Scott Johnston; Colton, Coty and Kaleb Allen; Allison, John, and Dr. Emily Marrs; Cameron, Tyler and Reagan Potts; Richard, Bridget, Tommy, and John Paul Rogers; Sarah Schilling, Amber Millett; beloved great-grandchildren, Ava, Oliver and Aiden Allen; Jamison, Travis, and Wyatt Thompson; Elliot and Cohen Potts; Frederick Christian Schilling VI, Jakxton Wildrick, and Dean Millett.He is also survived by his sisters Cynthia Hartgraves, Alice Ann Vaught, and Mary Mylius. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Scott Marrs; and his father- and mother-in-law S.M. Nichols and Sue Nichols.Charles will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
